The Ultimate Satellite & Antenna Tripod is the easiest way to quickly deploy a ground base antenna system. This portable tripod can be deployed anywhere - at your home - On the ground, balcony, deck, or Motor Home, or be made as a semi permanent mount.
The clamps and deck screws are included only as an aide and convenience to keep the mount from flipping over in a strong wind (not a complete secure solution). To safely secure your mount, use either three - 40lb bags of sand in a sealed nylon bag or pillowcases on each leg including the spikes or deck screws to accommodate your particular application. Spikes are available at your local hardware store
I have personally used this mount with a Winegard DS-2076 on my deck with deck screws. We had wind gusts from 40 - 60 m.p.h.. Although the dish did oscillate a little in the wind, the way I had the mount setup worked excellent in the pictures below . For best stability do not raise the shaft more than 20 inches above the shaft adjuster.

With a slight modification, you can use an antenna mount that has a vary fit compression, or muffler type clamp. In order to keep the pipe from crushing from over tightening, fill the top 12 inches of the pipe with hydraulic cement. Remove the plastic cap on the top of the shaft , stuff it with Styrofoam or a piece of rolled up towel, so that it is 12 inches below the shaft edge. This will allow you to create a stopper to fill only the top 12 inches which is all you need to stiffen the area where the antenna clamps will be. Do not fill to the top, you need about 1/2 in from the top so you can put the black plastic cap back on.
Also you can use a 8 inch piece of 11/2 in. fence pipe, make one cut verticly so you can slide it over the top of extension pipe. The creativity is endless.
